Margot and Heather travel to Missouri's beautiful Ozarks to explore the vast sustainable forest located there, and its connection to the history of Shannondale Community Center, the United Church of Christ, and Missouri's broader history of conservation. There, they meet with Kathy Love, former editor of the Missouri Conservationist and contributor to two recent films about Shannondale, about the history of conservation efforts in Missouri. They discuss the founding of Shannondale by the UCC, and efforts to replenish the landscape with trees after the hillsides were left barren by loggers in the 1920s.
